Free and Cheap Stuff Thru LFD
If you’ve explored the LFD website, you’ve probably come across our offerings of Free Stuff within that tab. One of the free items I’m proud of (since I created it) is the Bill of Rights bookmark templates (sides A & B are front and back of the same bookmarks). There are four bookmarks on each template, and they are positioned to allow you to easily print them out front and back and then cut them out for use. Critical Thinking and Social Media
I attended a Fort Worth Library Advisory Board meeting in early February. During the retreat, we heard from Kevin Walker of CultureLab on how people are communicating in the 21st century. Of course, he covered all the social media sites and said that some people have argued that the sites have polarized our society because no one ever ventures outside their own network.
